Friends... iMPeRFeCT Gallery greets you with love, good cheers and resilience, hoping you and your loved ones are doing well and getting through these uncertain times with hope, baking and making...
We are safe, well and feeling loved. The boys are both home coping with remote learning (Oh! what horror, the privilege) and eating really, really yummy stuff. Rocío and I, well, we're trying to keep the rock-soup going, both at home and in the gallery.
We miss the gallery, we miss the hugs!!!
We miss the arguments and the conversations, the amazing art, the flow of ideas and the doers doing. We miss the poets, the Rumbas, the insane community of music makers, the openings, special projects and the "Last Suppers". What we're not going to miss, is the opportunity to open back up when it's safe and allowed.
In the meantime we reach out to you for help to bridge the gap in this time of creative survival, when we're going to try different things from grant writing for relief funds, to selling gold bricks and other things... In the meantime we reach out to you, our friends and supporters to contribute whatever you can, to help us get through this vicious pandemic. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to get us to our hopeful reopening in Sept. with our 9th Annual Germantown Show.
In the meantime, we are going to continue making art, engaging in the conversation and making sure that the doors are open on that faithful day when we will hug again!
